The "Blue Box" gun: a regular production release identical to what was actually shipped to the Marine Corps, sold to ease the overwhelming demand for Custom Shop guns. The count released this way is unknown. Nearly all are in the typical serial range for other USMC roll marks, but a few in the 08xxxEGA range were observed to have slipped out of Colt after the prohibition on selling USMC roll marks went into effect.
